Thought I would open up with the longest word in the English dictionary. Forty-five letters, baby! YESS!!

Okay, so that was mildly random. But, as it turns out, I enjoy learning new words (especially when they’re really long and fun to spell!). Hence, I carry a pocket dictionary and thesaurus everywhere I go. Yes, I’m a nerd. It’s okay. I’ve come to accept it…

Well, I guess I should say hello to all of you dear people who are reading this. So, hello! I hope this finds you well. And I hope you have had a good Monday so far!

So, some exciting news for me is that my dog graduated from puppy classes on Saturday! He got to wear a little graduation cap, too. Except it was a little big, so he wasn’t too thrilled to have it on…

As I’m typing this, “Bridge Over Troubled Water” by Simon and Garfunkel started playing on my computer. I love those guys! (:

Anywho, as for writing and such… I’ve reverted back to my old self (prior to completing manuscript) in that I now carry around my laptop everywhere and take it out to type every chance I get. Aside from that, I’ve also started reading again!! That’s super awesome because over the past few years, I’ve slowly begun to lose my love for reading… When I was younger I would ALWAYS have a book in my hand, and I could finish 400-500 pages within 2-3 days. And then I just stopped reading all of a sudden because I read a few books that made me angry, and I guess for some reason I thought there weren’t anymore good books out there. But I was wrong! Yay! Haha. I’m so weird.

Anyways, I’ve been reading a few different books (still reading Flowers for Algernon–almost done), including one about an assassin (sounds exciting!) and the first book in the Ranger’s Apprentice series (I hear they’re good). Aside from that, I think I’m going to read The Power of Six which has been sitting on my bookshelf for over a year… Yeah…

Oh! Another fun thing I did this past week was have a Studio Ghibli movie marathon!!! My all-time favorite is Spirited Away because it was the first one I ever saw and I guess it just has a special place in my heart (though, No-Face always kinda creeps me out…). But my friend and I watched Howl’s Moving Castle, Laputa: Castle in the Sky, and My Neighbor Totoro, which are all very good.

And now, for some strange reason, I have the urge to watch a Star Trek movie. It will probably be The Search for Spock because that’s my favorite. Though, The Wrath of Khan is pretty good, too. Hmm… Oh, and speaking of Start Trek, a new movie is coming out this year! So excited!

Well, I suppose that’s all I have to say for today. I hope you all have a safe, blessed week. And you should read a book! It’s actually pretty fun! (;

Farewell to all,

B.H. Parker
